Continuing from the blog: Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh: A Karmic Perspective | by The Universal Post | Apr, 2023 | Medium, this article looks at the trinity of Gods from a subatomic particles perspective, the most popular of which are electron, proton and neutron.

Mahesh or Shiva is like an electron. Why? Simply put, an electron determines the chemical property of an atom. And what is chemical property? Chemical property of a substance is something that can be observed within a chemical reaction or by change in chemical identity. And that is what Shiva is and that is what Shiva does. He transforms. In destruction of one identity, he creates another. So, he transforms as he destroys.

Vishnu, on the other hand is like a proton. Why? The number of protons in an atom defines its atomic number. So what? Long story short, the atomic number determines the element to which the atom belongs to. Thus, the proton determines an atom’s identity and also its behavior. Vishnu does the same. He is responsible for preserving the identity of an entity (and also its behavior) in a particular instance of time.

Brahma, the God of creation is akin to neutrons. Why? Neutrons have no charge unlike protons which have a positive charge and electrons which have a negative charge. Brahma is always seen as neutral and doesn’t enjoy the same status as Vishnu and Shiva in the trinity of Gods. Also, the neutron’s main contribution is to grant mass to the atom. An atom can have different number of neutrons and thus, can have different forms of the same element. Simply put, variety and creativity wouldn’t exist if not for a neutron. Thus, without the mighty neutron even the universe wouldn’t exist. You know what I mean? Brahma is responsible for creation of the universe and by granting mass to an atom, a neutron creates and unravels the atom i.e., even the universe.

So, in summary, Brahma (the neutron) creates by providing form to an entity (any entity with form has mass and a neutron grants mass), Vishnu (the proton) grants identity to the entity (a form with mass), while Shiva (the electron) transforms the entity through chemical reactions.

Strangely, electrons are super-fast, smallish and of very low mass. Sounds like some of Shiva’s characteristic in physical form. Also, protons and neutrons are made of quarks, while electrons are made of nothing. Quarks and electrons are fundamental particles and again electrons are smaller than quarks. So, are electrons the elusive God particle (not the God Particle or Higgs Boson)? That is a discussion for another time.

It is said Shiva is the form of the formless entity beyond everything. So even if Higgs Boson gives mass to an electron but is itself fairly unstable, it may be just a transient state between electron and the 0 particle i.e., a particle with no state, being or existence i.e., beyond conception or perception. Actually, not even a particle. In fact, a point in a blank. Both being mutually impossible.
